Nestled in the foothills of the Porcupine Mountains, right on the sandy shore of Lake Superior, just 50′ to 100′ from the water! Our northern Michigan “cabin” rentals offer all the conveniences of home in a majestic wilderness setting. The two-bedroom cabins boast fully equipped kitchens, screen porches, BBQ grills, CATV, phones, and WIFI. Gaze at the vibrant sunsets from the comfort of your cabin or while enjoying a toasty fire on the beach. Or take in the vista of the shoreline from one of the kayaks available to guests.
Your spacious cabin welcomes you into the warm living room featuring an exceptional view of Lake Superior and all the comforts of home.
Enjoy the view from your fully equipped kitchen as you prepare your gourmet meals or a snack for the hike. Listen to the waves while dining in the screen porch or BBQ right from your deck. Have a picnic on the beach just steps from your door.
Two bedrooms easily accommodate your needs. Each has a queen sized bed in one room and either two twins or a queen in the second. And each can host up to six people by utilizing the queen size sofa sleeper. All linens are provided.
Your full bath offers hot steamy showers for your return from a long day in the wilderness. Bath towels are provided.

We are a short 13 miles west of Ontonagon, Michigan and 3 miles east from the entrance to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The “Porkies” offer visitors year round outdoor fun with many hiking trails throughout the park, scenic overlooks and old mine sites, waterfalls, camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing, kayaking birding and biking. Abundant wildlife around every corner.
Enjoy this private two bedroom home situated on 120 ft. of beautiful Lake Superior property enjoy walks on the beach or watch the magnificent waves or winter ice volcanoes, and amazing sunsets. A Beach Retreat offers one queen size bed in one bedroom and two double size beds in the other bedroom with a capacity of six people.The cottage also offers a very clean and comfortable full bath supplied with large fluffy towels and paper products also provided. Relax in the living room furnished with a couch and love seat while watching a game or movie on the cable TV and keeping warm by the large gas fireplace, there is also a vcr and DVD player.The kitchen is well equipped with full size appliances, microwave,toaster and coffee maker. ( just bring your food).
Lake of the Clouds Resort is located in beautiful Silver City, Michigan, 1 mile from the entrance to the Porcupine Mountains State Park. We have 5 cabins fully furnished with cable tv, bath and shower combinations, and kitchenettes in all cabins. We are located on snowmobile trail #1 for easy acess and 3 miles from the Porcupine Mountain Ski Hills, where you can snowboard, downhill, and cross country ski. Summertime, hike for miles, backpack, kayak, canoe, and bike ride the many trails in the state park.? Lake Superior across the street,with public boat launch 1 block away, and Union Bay beach 1 mile for swimming or rock hunting. We try to keep our rates low for all families to stay with us and enjoy the family vacation.
